The Parthenon is an icon for perfection, harmony & artistic excellence throughout the western world. During the project, I came to appreciate the structure not simply as something that was once great |
and has since been ruined, but observed that weathering, vandalism and damage actually adds to its character. The structure has endured - despite all the damage - a testament to its symbolic strength & power. |
